In response to the damage caused to bollards in retail parks by trolleys, CIS Street Furniture has developed a method of casting on a polymer ring feature to all types of cast bollards. This feature is designed to integrate with the overall aesthetics of the bollard, whilst retaining impact absorption qualities for trolleys and other vehicles.

Any feature ring can be replicated as shown on the above cut away sample. The cast iron ring is removed from the standard bollard, a mould is secured and a castable polymer solution poured in. After solidification the mould is removed, leaving an impact absorbing ring feature. This can then be painted in the bollard colour.
